I just finished Michael Masterson's Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting this morning. (I mailed out my final assignment yesterday!)
Anyway, I added the course to The Last 5 Books I've Read—the list you can see in the left-hand column of this page. And the TypePad software tried to pull in a book cover that's totally unrelated. Now I can't get the cover to disappear. Oh, well.
The course is not available through Amazon.com. But it is available at The Writer's Life.
I'd like to know what you think of the course and if you have prospects for making $ from your writing.

Since I'm already a full-time marketer/writer for a homeschooling company, I believe the course has already helped me considerably. I highly recommend it.
I've written numerous articlesyou can read one of them herethat I believe have substantially increased revenues for the company I work for. (A bigger and better article I've written will be posted on April 1 at this link: "How Literature-Rich Homeschooling Awakens Your Child's Natural Passion for Learning." I have big hopes for it.)
I've also done a lot of email marketing using some of the techniques I've learned. One email I wrote to sell puzzles pulled in over $20,000 in less than two weeks.
So, yes, the course has helped me a lot.
I expect to receive feedback on my final assignment this coming week. Who knows? Maybe there will be some opportunity there.
I must also confess that the AWAI course is not the only resource I've used to polish my copywriting skills these last two years. I've read Claude Hopkins My Life in Advertising and Scientific Advertising. I've read Eugene Schwartz's Breakthrough Advertising. I'm nearly done with David Ogilvy's Ogilvy on Advertising. And I read a number of newsletters, including Gary Halbert's, John Carlton's, and Gary Bencivenga's.
On deck are Confessions of an Advertising Man, Hey, Whipple, Squeeze This, Automatic Wealth, and AWAI's resume course.
So what's a guy in love with advertising doing writing a health blog? Health is my second love, and I didn't want to become another "I got wealthy teaching other people how to get wealthy" kind of guys.
If you have any other questions, MaryBeth, I'd be glad to answer them for you.

I wanted to learn more about Michael Masterson’s Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting and found your blog. I am thinking of ordering it and wanted to confirm that it was something you are still positive about and that it did help you build your copywriting career. I am asking as $39 a month is alot of money for me.
Thanks
Dawn

Hi Dawn,
I still believe the course is worth it for those who put the skills to work for them.
I think the most realistic expectation for people who take the course is the ability to write good sales copy for their own ventures. I wouldn't bank on getting work through AWAI even though it is a possibility.
You might want to check out the AWAI forums to see what other people have said. Scroll down to the copywriting forum and do a search for "Michael Masterson's Acclerated Program..." That should pull some results.
Thanks for commenting.
