"Wisdom favors age, although age is no guarantee of wisdom." --Ryan Healy
The longer I live, the more aware I am of how many people are walking around in a state of arrested development. Their bodies continue to age, but their brains are locked up in a state of twenty-something immaturity.
Just because a man appears to be wise doesn't mean he is.
ouch! but true.
I keep trying to get the wisdom part - wish i had my wisdom and the 20 year old bod ... sigh,

No kidding. A (forever) youthful body plus wisdom would be a wonderful thing indeed. :-)

Great insight... too many Americans (and more than a few guys) seem to be less mature mentally and emotionally than they should.
There's a good quote, and I don't know the author: "There are some who are wise... and some are otherwise." I do my best to be in the former, and not the latter category.

Regarding guys being less mature: I believe it's because they are abdicating responsibility... and society is letting them get away with it.

Very well put Ryan, I know several 40 something men who are in their "mid-life crisis" as we speak. In their mind they are still 18 but their bodies are telling them otherwise.
I pray for the wisdom not to go there...
